Freedom and Taz
August 3rd, 2008Freedom’s Trip to the Revolution for Freedom Festival
July 13th, 2008It was a lot of fun! I didn’t mind the 13 hour car ride, got to catch up on some sleep. I had to stay at the site most of the time, when the speakers and bands were on stage. We went to Bear Country USA for a great wildlife experience. I especially liked the Buffalo. Not much went on for a dog to do, but I enjoyed camping and meeting new people, including some other dogs.

We went camping again!
June 15th, 2008This time we had a lot of fun. We did some leash training and played fetch and sat by the fire. It was Ryan’s Birthday. Here are some videos of me playing fetch.
Along with some pictures from our trip.
I went camping!
May 19th, 2008Me and Ryan went to Hoosier National Forest. Ryan got to meet Ron Paul and we camped out. I was a terror. I wouldn’t stop whining or eating rocks and when I was put into the tent for the night I was going crazy, running in circles.
Freedom’s May Progress Report
May 11th, 2008I haven’t been able to make any posts lately because most of my computer time was being used by Ryan. He was working on a graphic design and some other stuff for Grandma’s Work. We have been training daily and I am really starting to get the hang of this. So far I know the commands: Sit, Down, Come, Left, Right, and No Bite(sort of).
Owner’s note: Freedom is smarter than your average dog. She does not do anything when you tell her to shake because that is just too easy. You need to tell her which paw you would like to shake otherwise she will just look at you funny.

- I love the Coffee Clutch!

Freedom playing in the yard
April 30th, 2008Whenever anyone takes me outside I always like to play with sticks. I always pick them up and run with them and my family always wants me to bring it to them. Most of the time I will bring them the stick and then they throw it away from me but I don’t know why! I am still trying to figure this one out.

Saturday Morning Coffee Clutch
April 27th, 2008Yesterday was such an action packed day. After breakfast and my nap, I went to Grandma’s House where I hung out with my Auntie Annie (Dalmatian) and Auntie Angel (Great Dane). My Grandma spoiled me with love. I don’t really like messing with Angle because she just growls at me and drools all over me. I do however love to beat up on Annie. We ran around the big yard and played with toys. I fell down a lot. After the Coffee Clutch, we went home and rested. After that nap we went to Great Grandma Cheryl and Great Grandpa John’s house. We played fetch and I explored their huge multi platform deck. It was a lot of fun. I was pretty worn out for the rest of the day, but Ryan still insisted we go for a walk. After that was dinner and a much needed good night sleep. It is now Sunday morning and we went for another walk. I am exhausted, going to lay down.
- Do I really look like I want to go for a walk?
- We did a lot today. I think I will just lay here now.
- Me and my two Aunts. Annie and Angel.

April 22nd, 2008Freedom: Day 2
April 21st, 2008To start the day I ate, chased Tara around the house while she was getting ready for work, biting her ankles. Then Ryan came home and kept me occupied while Tara finished getting ready. After she left we went down to the creek and then came back home. I got a lot of treats when I went potty outside, so I did it every 10 minutes. I am so smart! Then Ryan went to bed and locked me in the cage.
Then Ben came home in the middle of the day and let me out and played with me for a little while. Then I got locked up in my cage again until Tara came home. She took me outside to go potty and gave me a treat. Then we went for a little walk, rested and ate dinner. We also met the Chocolate Lab, Cadbury, from across the street, he was very playful.
When Ryan woke up everyone ate dinner and we went for another walk by some horses. I am pooped. I can’t wait until these people stop petting me and lock me in the cage again.
New Puppy: Freedom
April 21st, 2008Name: Freedom
Birth Date: 1/4/08
Sex: Female
My Girlfriend and I got a Weimaraner yesterday, April 20th, 2008. After seeing the dog at the local nursery’s pet department, we researched the breed. One month later the dog was still there. What we learned in our research of the breed can be best described: Big, Beautiful, Smart, Energy Filled, Elegant, Loyal, companions. This is not the average dog here. These dogs can be trained to work in the field, whether it be tracking or retrieving and are masters of protecting their territory and family. It has now been about 24 hours since Freedom came home and she is so adorable and clean.
